Voyage of Grace
Gentle spirited Grace Oakes, a monster in the eyes of her own mother, is driven mercilessly from her own home in hope of finding love on the Frontier prairie.
Her journey to Cheyenne, Wyoming, together with her sister and friend, is plagued with self-doubt. Her fears of rejection are confirmed when the man who invited her as a mail-order bride immediately refuses her hand, instead preferring that of Grace’s travelling partner.
A terrible but timely accident then throws Grace into unexpected proximity with a man who sees through her scarred mask, and who falls in love with the tender heart beneath. But can Grace accept true love, or will her fears drive him away forever?
Emma’s Escape
Forbidden by her parents to marry the man she loves, Emma Johnson is forced into a society marriage with a monster. With the birth of their first child she fears not only for her own life, but that of her newborn also.
Fate intervenes, leaving Emma with the prospect of another forced marriage, or a daring escape to the arms of the Frontier rancher whom she has always loved.
Will he be willing to embrace her after all these years? Will he be ready to forgive her, and accept another man’s child as his own?
Traveling Mercy
Mercy Oakes’ mother is stricken to discover that her artistic daughter is besotted with a man she considers a ‘country lout’. Her high-society aspirations demand a man of culture and fame, so she finances Mercy’s trip to Paris to study under a great painter. Mercy’s own ambition agrees to the trip.
Little does Mercy realize that the designs of a charming French suitor are not what they first appear to be.
When circumstance forces her hand she returns to Cheyenne, Wyoming, guilt-ridden and brokenhearted, only to discover the man she loves is engaged to be married the following day.
Is there indeed mercy for Mercy? Or will her wilful travels lose the very thing she has been longing to discover all along?
