Bluebird Island is plagued by two deaths in quick succession. One is a hermit who keeps himself separate from the rest of the island. His home is filled with jumbled scribbles and overgrown plants. The other is a respectable married man, living in a well kept manor. They couldn’t be more different if they tried, and yet they are both connected by a single, unblinking eye.
Chloe and Dayton are puzzled by what could connect the two men. Everything apart from the eye is different and makes them seem like two random deaths, but there is a link between them. Chloe knows it, but only via a miracle does she get the information she needs.
The truth that connects the victims is far deeper and more complex than they realize, and it won’t be long before more are entangled in this murderous web.
